I've been working on a new book. A middle school student from an urban school, too violent to live too long, finds himself transported into an alternate world, one based on pre-colonial Africa. I can't say much more now--too much research to do.

I am also rewriting on my vampire/anti-vampire story as well as my coming of age story about a pubescent boy exploring his awakening awareness of girls. I hope to find an agent or to bring one of these manuscripts to an audio book in the coming year.

I've now begun work on this website. I want to keep you posted with news on what I'm doing, have various postings of creative output, &c. &c. The new banner won't last long--it's a step towards having a fully customized site that I can keep easily updated for my fans. Joomla, an open source software, powers the site. I'm learning, and the site will develop rapidly now that I don't have to type in old-fashioned HTML language.

Grand Graffiti is the new home of Sampson Gregory, the writer, who has also written under the name of Alaric Jaxartes. (In print: Rush Week, Tattered Flags.)

The new site is under development--therefore, I must beg you to please excuse the rough look and sparse content that is now available. I changed my approach so I could provide new content rapidly and constantly, which the Joomla! powered site lets me do. In the old configuration, I was coding new pages by hand with html. It was long, laborious, and gave rise to continuity issues in maintaining the same look and feel across the site.

With the new site, some of the previously provided poems and stories have disappeared. Their shelf life was over, but if there is an outcry for favorite items, I will be happy to put them back on the site.

Check back often for updates.
